Making Plans
02 May, 2018

European Movement in Wandsworth and Merton organised our latest meet-up for campaigners at the Hawkins Forge bar in Battersea, with several new supporters attending for the first time.

On a busy busy news day of developments in the House of Lords and elsewhere there was a lot to discuss. European Movement staffer Hugo Mann was the guest of honour and outlined the new developments of the past few weeks, in which European Movement are now sharing offices in the heart of Westminster with a consortium of pro-EU groups.

We discussed means to promote the recently-launched People’s Vote campaign, starting with an event at Putney this coming Saturday, May 5th, for which we will distribute postcards for despatch to MPs about the issue - this too will be a joint effort with Lambeth for Europe and Best for Britain South West. Please come along if you can spare a some time on Saturday from 11am to 1pm - click here to register!

We also talked about ways to maximise turnout for the People’s Vote national demonstration on Saturday June 23rd. This will be a key event of the summer so don’t hesitate to register now, and we’ll update with plans for our Wandsworth banners as they develop.

In short - the time to act is now!
