Petition for Action in Parliament

Dear Stephen Hammond MP,

Thank you for taking a stand against ‘No Deal’.

I’m now counting on you to take decisive action to give MPs a chance to reject No Deal Brexit as soon as Parliament returns on 3rd September. Then we must let everybody have a say with a People's Vote.

As a person who works for a Global Consultancy, Brexit and a No-Deal will have an immediate impact on me.

I’m writing this as a site in Amsterdam getting ready for a client meeting – if we have a No-Deal, I will potentially no longer be able to visit my client or work on site in Holland without a Work Permit or some form of Visa. A deal or even better No Brexit would allow me and thousands of other UK consultants to visit clients in the EU mainland and sell UK services.

The impact of the Tax Revenue will be vast.

The impact of the skilled workforce will also be major – I’m already considering asking for a transfer to either Netherlands or Switzerland so I can continue to travel for worker. I’m a 40% tax payer so instead of HMRC receiving this; it would be the country I settle in.

Given that Brexit was an Advisory Vote which should have been discussed by Parliament before being implemented and that the vote has been proven to be severely tainted; to allow a No Deal to take place under the ‘voice of the people’ argument is simply not on.

With Johnson and Cummings now removing Parliamentary Sovereignty as well – the whole farce needs to be stopped to be analysed properly.
